Ericsson EI9001T Encoder / Transcoder Module

Single-slot encoder and transcoder module for the AVP 4000 chassis.

Part number: AVP/HWO/EI9001T/A

The EI9001T occupies one slot and adds both encoding and transcoding capability to an AVP 4000 chassis, up to four or six modules per chassis depending on the chassis variant.

It accepts SD/HD-SDI video, encodes MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 AVC, and carries up to eight stereo pairs of audio. Compared with the EI9001, it adds a confidence monitor loop through of the IP input.
